Profile
I specialise in working with people with ‘Behaviours of concern’ (aka 'Challenging behaviours’).
People that possess such behaviours are very difficult to manage, as they are a threat to their own or others' safety. Their behaviour may involve verbal and physical aggression, emotional outbursts, shouting or screaming, violent reactions, running away or loss of control self-injurious behaviour, property damage and unsafe behaviours in the vehicle or in the community.
There can be multiple reasons for such a behaviour ranging from having a history of Drug & Alcohol abuse, Brain injury, Post Traumatic Stress secondary to family violence, family breakdown and abuse (sexual, emotional, physical), Autism spectrum disorder, Schizophrenia, Bipolar, etc. .
